Allman Brothers frontman, guitarist Dickey Betts dies
WASHINGTON — Musician Dickey Betts, who helped define the Southern rock genre in the 60s and 70s as the guitarist and co-founder of the Allman Brothers Band, has died, his family said. He was 80. In a statement posted to Instagram, Betts' family wrote that he died peacefully at his home in Florida.
